The private companies which doing business in the field of education, has announced the rankings of the best universities in Asia for year 2014.
The results showed that the University of Thailand remains in the top 300 rankings QS Asia University Rankings 2014. Mahidol University has been ranked as No. 1 in Thailand for the fifth consecutive year.
Mahidol University has a long history of Thailand since it was School of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital in name "Phaettayakorn School" founded in year 1889 in the reign of King Chulalongkorn. After that it has been established to be University of Medicine on February 7, 1943. And on February 21, 1969, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has graciously given the name "Mahidol" that is the Royal Father of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Current University, taught in 15 faculties; Graduate school, Colleges and institutions for a total of 551 courses.
